Seattle non-profits Space.City and Urban ArtWorks, in partnership with Downtown Seattle Association and Friends of Waterfront Seattle, will collaborate with artist Carolina Silva to create her first mural at the top of Pike Street Hill Climb – changing our urban environment by transforming place through the power of public art and community collaboration.

Created over the first week of the Seattle Design Festival, the community is invited to engage with the artist as she paints the mural. Urban ArtWorks will provide materials, guidance and youth power to create the mural. Space.City will document the process from start to finish and share this creative journey through various platforms accessible to the public.

The community collaboration with culminate in a public celebration, on Wednesday evening, September 21st from 6 to 9 PM at the mural. The artist and non-profit organizations will be in attendance to discuss igniting change through design and working together. We invite you to join us for a live busker performance by John Strayer Music and enjoy beer donated by the Seattle Beer Co. This event is free and open to the public.
